The BBC’s New Delhi headquarters were searched by Indian tax authorities on Tuesday, a journalist for the channel told AFP.
The person added, “There’s an income tax raid in the office, and they’re seizing all phones.”
Emails requesting comments were not immediately answered by the BBC or the income tax agency.
