WhatsApp is planning to roll out some new feature soon, having over 1.2 billion users the company keeps on updating the app to give their best for its users. In a latest, the company has planned to spice up their chats with more than just the usual emojis to allow users to express themselves better. WhatsApp has been testing Stickers on the 2.18.24 beta version for Windows Phone. Apart from the new sticker feature, the update will also bring a redesigned Stickers notification icon; but neither feature has been spotted on Android or iPhone yet. Apart from this, the new Windows Phone beta of the world's most popular messaging app also brings Live Location Sharing to the platform. These features are expected to be rolled out on the stable build in the coming weeks.
In few weeks windows phone users will also get Live Location Sharing feature to share their locations with their select friends and family members.
For WhatsApp groups, the company will add a new "Add group description" tab in a group for users depending on whether the viewer is part of the group or not. This feature is expected to come first for iPhone users in the coming days. As of now any member of the group can edit the text in the new group description tab, however, if reports to be believed the company might restrict access to admins in future updates.
The new group description feature has a 500-character limit and updated in order to help new members get a brief sense of a group's purpose and activities before joining it,
In the coming time, the company will also introduce UPI based money transfer feature between the users like Paytm. However, all these features are not available in public and just in beta mode for the test before the company roll out these features for everyone.
