Just a day after the announcement of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Government of India has issued new guidelines for the vaccination campaign. According to the new guidelines, the central government will buy 75 percent of the vaccine from vaccine manufacturers and give it to the states for free. However, the price of the vaccine for private hospitals will be decided by the pharmaceutical companies.
According to the number of vaccines that the states will get from the Centre, the state governments will distribute the vaccine to the districts. Here the health workers will be at the top. Thereafter, preference will be given to those over the age of 45, and after that preference will be given to those who are to receive the second dose.
According to these guidelines issued by the government, the center will inform the state government in advance that how many doses are going to be received. Accordingly, the state governments will distribute the vaccine to the districts and finally, the information will be made public by the districts and vaccination centers so that people do not face any problem.
