VIRAT vs ROHIT: Who will win today's IPL 2018 game?

On any another year, tonight’s fixture would have all the elements of a blockbuster match. But it has been a slow IPL 2018  for both the teams playing at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. Royal Challengers Bangalore and Mumbai Indians have both been underperforming in this year’s IPL 2018  as they face each other with an outside chance of making it to the playoffs. After playing seven games this season, both MI and RCB are tied on points with the exact same number of wins. Mumbai Indians though slowly edge out RCB in the net run rate. But before we get into the full IPL match predictions of the RCB vs MI game, let’s see how the two teams stack up.

On paper it’s a clash between the captain and the vice captain of perhaps the best international side currently. But after what we have seen in IPL 2018, it’s hard to believe that both teams are in this position, fighting to salvage something out of the tournament and not contending for the playoffs spot.

While Mumbai Indians came to the tournament as defending champions, Royal Challengers had those star players who were capable of taking them the distance. While Suryakumar Yadav and Mayank Markande serve as the unlikely light at the end of a long dark tunnel for Mumbai Indians, Royal Challengers Bangalore were devoid of support from the rest of the team even as Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers led from the front.

IPL Match Predictions 2018: RCB vs MI

Not much to look forward for both the teams, MI and RCB would be free of any repercussions with this match (Both teams still have an outside chance of making it, but look highly unlikely). Hence, it won’t be surprising if both teams went all guns blazing with nothing to lose.

While RCB’s batting has been way more superior than their bowling, MI have been pretty balanced in both the departments. The home advantage could be the deciding factor at the end as RCB will welcome MI in front of an electric atmosphere.

Popular betting site, Bet365 too gives RCB the slight edge as they have an odds of 4:5 stacked against them while Mumbai Indians will come to Bengaluru with the odds of one.
