It is V-Day guys and almost all of us have some cupid floating above our heads, ready to shoot the love arrow. Whatever your story, every date is different. This one goes out to the many kinds of dates we have all been to or will go to at least once in our lives, and how to dress perfectly for each one of them.
1. The Blind Date
The first impression is the last impression. Period. Dress up like you mean it. Put your best foot forward, look your very best. In blind dates how you dress up is how you will be perceived by the other person since you don't really know each other too well then. Dress sharp and clean but minus the arrogance. Reflect your style boldly, but minimally. A little mystery is always good.
2. The Dance Date
The best way to dress up for a dance date, especially if you are visiting a club is to get those trusted raw denims out, your favorite button down shirt and Vans. It is this perfect mix of casual yet cool, which will make its mark on your Valentine.
3. The Candlelight Dinner Date
Marilyn Monroe. James Dean. This is what you are aiming for. If it is a classic candlelight dinner you ought to look classy yourself. Be the hero, the guy in a black and white suit with a red bow tie, opening the door for his lover.
4. The Coffee Date
If it is just a casual date then dress up lightly. A pair of grey or navy blue shorts, paired up with a V-neck t-shirt, those trusted Vans and your best pair of glasses. You could even go with crisp ironed khakhis and simple plaid shirts.
5. The Staying-Over Date
If you are to stay over at your lady love's you have to make sure to keep it relaxed. With romance in the air, dress up to exude a sexy yet comfortable vibe. A pink shirt over your best denims along with a hint of cologne should do the trick.
6. The Long Drive Date
It is unbelievable what a simple white shirt can do. If you are driving her out into the open, pair up your white shirt over blue denims and sneakers. If you have hired suave transportation for the same, keep the look semi-casual , with slim fit trousers and brogues.
If there is something we know about Valentine's and women, it is this: they like their men to look good. So suit up, plan your date outfit in advance and don't be afraid to flaunt all that you have!
